Who:

Medical Practitioners that are interested in opening their own practice or currently running their own practice.

Course Structure:

The PGDip (General Practice) is a part-time distance learning course. Each module is supported by extensive self-study learning material that was developed by experts within the field. Assessment is done through a set of case studies, assignments, a business plan and a formal written exam. The minimum time to complete is 18 months and the maximum is 36 months.

Content:

This course will provide you with the latest developments in the clinical field and will upskill you to skip with ease over medico-legal potholes.

Fundamental components - compulsory

• Practice Management

 

Core components - compulsory – (choose any 5 OR 6 modules)

• Mental Health

• HIV / AIDS

• Diabetes Mellitus

• Cardio- and Common Vascular

• Tuberculosis

• Respiratory disease

 

ELECTIVE MODULES (CHOOSE ANY TWO OR THREE)

      Rheumatology

      Rational use of Antibiotics

      Allergies

      Dermatology

      Clinical Management of Metabolic Syndrome

 

 Intake:

Three intakes per year. Applications opens as follows:

1st : 1 March- 30 March 2020

2nd : 1 June- 30 June 2020

3rd : 1 October – 31 October 2020

 Cost:

R 15 131.58 (Includes all study material)
